Three Quick and Easy Ways to Manifest Better Health with Feng Shui
With the chillier months due to make their return, the dip in temperature means that it’s time to prioritize healthy living and to give ourselves a little TLC. Colds, chills, and sneezes needn’t be synonymous with the colder months, so consider this your sign to give your Personal Health Direction a manifestation makeover! Whether you want to eat healthier, try your hand at a new workout, or set to work to improve your mental health, here are my top Feng Shui activations to attract a healthier and happier you.
1/ Is Your Health Direction Supporting Your Health Goals?
Begin by locating your Health Direction in your bedroom (remember: you can use the Diamond Compass on the Marie Diamond app to find it). Then, have a think about your current health goals and consider whether the objects, images, and items you have on display in your Health Direction support your goals, or sabotage them.
Let’s say, for instance, one of your health goals is to walk 10k steps every day. To ensure your Health Direction is supporting this goal, you could place your pedometer or smart watch there to activate it overnight, books or maps outlining local hiking trails, images of fit and healthy people walking through beautiful woodland or mountain trails, pages from fitness catalogs advertising hiking poles or the latest hiking boots, or even a hand-written copy of positive affirmations like “I walk 10k steps each day with ease and happiness”.
If there’s a habit you want to quit in order to live a healthier life, such as smoking or junk food, ensure there’s no visual representation of it in your Health Direction or indeed in your home altogether! In addition, you can display relevant books (for example, a book on yoga, or a medical journal), your vitamins and supplements, and any business cards from prospective doctors, health practitioners, or alternative-medicine therapists in the Health Direction of your office or bedroom.
2/ Your Bed Should Be a Site for Rest and Relaxation
With countless scientific studies showing the physical and mental benefits of a good night’s sleep, it’s time to transform your bed into your own personal health haven!
If you have a bedroom with beams, especially if there’s one directly over your head while you sleep, these are what is known in Feng Shui as ‘poison arrows.’ The beam ‘cuts’ into your vibrational field and interferes with the positive flow of energy, leading to anything from a restless night’s sleep, to aches, pains, and migraines. To neutralize a beam, paint it or cover it with material in the same color as the ceiling so that it blends in.
Sleeping across from a mirror (or indeed any reflective surface) is another Feng Shui health-don’t. Mirrors are powerful ‘doubling’ tools since they reflect and double whatever they capture, meaning when you sleep across from one, you are in essence ‘doubling’ any health issues you face. As a solution, cover these mirrors or surfaces with a scarf or a fold-out screen while you sleep.
Finally, try to be aware of what’s in the area around your bed, too. Too many times I’ve seen clients with things like weapons, sharp objects like knitting needles, and even tax return forms in their nightstands. Do you think any of these things will help to attract a good and peaceful night’s sleep? Absolutely not! Empty out your nightstand and remove anything sharp or associated with violence, work, or stress. Use a lavender-infused furniture polish or cleaning spray to clean your nightstand and purify its energetic field. Then fill it with items that are more appropriate, such as a relaxing lavender pillow spray, a soft satin sleep mask, or a dream journal.
3/ Brush Up on the Basic Do’s and Don’ts For Attracting Good Health
The Diamond Quantum Colors for attracting good health are emerald green, white, and purple, so add splashes of these colors to your Personal Health Direction with colored candles, artwork pieces, and soft furnishings.
Jade, emerald, and amethyst gemstones are all excellent crystals for attracting good health and similarly lavender-scented candles or room sprays can also help to purify and cleanse the energy flow of a room. Displaying lush, round-leafed plants in your Health Direction is another great health activation since plants carry with them a vibrant life force that will help to boost your own.
As a general rule, there are some things you should avoid displaying in your Health Direction at all costs, as they can attract illness and negativity. For example, avoid displaying any photos or images of waterfalls, since the flow of energy is draining down. Also avoid any images of deserts or barren landscapes, avoid having any cacti in this area (either images of them or the actual plant itself), and avoid having anything that represents death or decay, including dried flowers or potpourri.
