Forgiveness: Your Secret Manifestation Tool
For many, forgiveness can be a touchy subject and it’s easy to see why. Often people get stuck on the idea that by forgiving someone who may have hurt you, you’re excusing their bad behaviour or implying that their actions were acceptable, or even understandable.
According to the Law of Attraction however, the only person who benefits from your forgiveness is yourself. All it means is that you are taking the steps to release those negative emotions and to set your sights on bigger, better, and brighter things.
It helps to reframe the way you think about forgiveness: just like how you would begin preparing a mouth-watering gourmet meal by making sure your kitchen counter was clean and wiped down, you need to have a clean slate upon which to begin your manifesting. To help energetically “wipe” the metaphorical slate clean, you first need to forgive – forgive those around you, forgive what may have happened to you in the past, and forgive yourself.
1/ Write a Forgiveness Letter
To help kickstart the process of releasing your emotional blockages, you can write a forgiveness letter. Writing a forgiveness letter requires just two simple steps, the first of which is to get a pen and paper, and just to write. Don’t overthink it too much and don’t try to censor yourself – just write down everything you wish you could have shared with them. Remember, they’re never going to physically read this letter, so use it as a chance to really unburden yourself.
Write about all the pain they caused you and how badly their actions hurt you. Don’t worry if things get ugly – this is a normal part of releasing those emotional blockages.
Then, write down the valuable life lessons that you’ve learnt as a result of this pain and how this experience made you a better person. You might also want to write about how you understand the reasons why they did the things they did, or you can thank them for any good moments you had together. Most importantly, write that you forgive them and that you are releasing any negative feelings you have towards them. Then sign and date the letter.
It might be the case that your letter is very short but it might also be the case that you end up using ten pages of paper – both are equally valid. You might also want to repeat this process, writing multiple letters addressed to different people, even yourself.
The second step, once you’ve written your letter, is to burn it. Wait until noon on a sunny day to burn your letter, since this time of day has the highest level of positive, life-affirming force energy. You’ll need to have a ceramic or heatproof bowl ready and a match to light up your forgiveness letter. As the letter burns, imagine its message reaching the heart of whoever needs to hear it.
2/ The Amethyst Crystal Ritual
If you ever feel you need a forgiveness boost whilst on-the-go, this is a crystal hack you can use anytime you feel triggered by stressful situations and it will help you release that flurry of negative thoughts.
Now, it’s first important to know that no matter how disciplined you are, sometimes negative thoughts just happen. I’m sure that even the most enlightened individuals in the world have the occasional angry thought! When you want to forgive yourself for thinking a bad thought, take a small amethyst crystal in your hand – this can be something that you carry around in your bag or keep in your car – and take some deep breaths.
The next step is to “delete” the thought by repeating the affirmation: “I AM forgiveness in all I was and all I did”. You can repeat this affirmation as many times as you need, and you can say it out loud or recite it in your head. This will immediately help take the emotional charge out of the situation and put you in a more forgiving, accepting mindset. If you ever find yourself getting road rage, getting into an argument with someone, or even having a stranger taking their own anger out on you, this is a great way to recenter yourself and to stop those negative thoughts from festering away in your mind.
3/ The Purple Candle Activation
If you want to open your home to attract forgiving, cleansing energy, this is the activation for you. Begin by locating and decluttering the Southeast area of your living room, bedroom, or workspace. In Feng Shui, the Southeast is the compass direction that acts as the general activation for forgiveness, and so you want to ensure this area is kept clear and orderly. Next, you can also keep an amethyst in this direction as amethysts are widely regarded as being symbols of inner peace.
If you have a particular person you wish to practice forgiveness towards, display a photo of them or an item that represents them in this area. Then place a purple candle in front of it. This candle can be of any size, and you can even use tea lights that you replace each time. As part of this ritual, you will need to burn this candle for nine minutes each day for a total of nine consecutive days. In Feng Shui, nine represents the element of fire and it also represents completion, like we’re closing the chapter on that part of your life. Each time you light the candle, have some time of quiet reflection. You can focus on a mantra in your mind, something like “I forgive you, I release all the emotional blockages between us”, or you can just visualize yourself at peace.
