Take a Hike: How to Use Nature to Boost Your Manifestations
How many hours in the day do you spend in front of a screen? From binge-watching the new must-watch Netflix shows to endlessly scrolling through social media, we’ve never spent so much time in the company of our phones, TVs, and computers. Whilst there’s so much to be said about the incredible benefits of modern technology, there’s also nothing quite like unplugging to spend some time marveling at the wonders of nature.
This fall season, set some time aside to explore the forests, woodlands, and natural beauty spots around you. Admire the changing colors of the leaves, the sound of birdsong, and the fresh air in wide open spaces. Not only is spending time outside good for your physical and mental health, nature can also help to enhance your manifestations too. Here are my top tips for how to use nature to boost your energy flow and deepen your spiritual connection.
1/ Being surrounded by trees, plants, and greenery means that you should make the most of this fresh, clean air. Try this breathing exercise based on pranayama principles: breathe in for four counts, hold that breath for four counts, exhale for four counts, and then hold it for four counts. Repeat that cycle for however long you need it, and return to it anytime you feel you need to regulate your energetic state. It will help to center your energy, focus your mind, and heighten your manifestations. Not bad for a few deep breaths!
2/ If possible, find a place where you can take off your socks and shoes and simply walk along on the grass. If you’re on a beach or by a river, walk along barefoot on the sand or put your feet in the water. Connect with the ground that you’re on and visualize taking in the earth’s healing energy. If you’re not able to walk along the ground, try sitting down with your feet in the air so that your bare skin can take in the sun’s rays.
3/ Spending some time outside is a great way to help ground yourself and reflect on exactly what it is you want to attract in your life. Think of it as a sort of “walking meditation”, where your mind can focus with no distractions. Not only that, it’s also a great way to see if the Universe has any special messages to give to you. Pay close attention to what you see – animals, trees, the shapes of the clouds, the people you pass - and don’t be surprised if you find yourself struck by new ideas or sudden inspiration!
4/ Make sure to turn off notifications for your phone so that you can enjoy your time in nature completely uninterrupted. There’s nothing wrong with taking a few photos either, but remember that your eyes are the best cameras for observing nature. When you fully take in the beautiful sites around you, it’s far better for your soul than scrolling back through your camera feed.
